The Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing awarded once again

The Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and has from the very beginning been led by its initiator and founder, Prof. Henryk Skarżyński, received another award. During the jubilee Gala held at the National Philharmonic on the 9th of September, we were awarded Nicolaus Copernicus Medal by the Polish Bank Association (ZBP). The award was presented by the Chairman of the Polish Bank Association – Krzysztof Pietraszkiewicz. The medal was awarded by the Board of Directors of the ZBP in recognition of the extraordinary contribution to the improvement of Poles’ health.

Nicolaus Copernicus Medal of the Polish Bank Association was established mainly as a prestigious, honourable distinction for exceptional achievements for the development and safe functioning of the Polish banking. However, it is also awarded for scientific and social achievements. The central part of its heads features the portrait of Nicolaus Copernicus, the author of treatise “Monete cudende ratio” – “On the Mining of Coin” dating back to 1526.

It is worth adding that this is not the first award from the Polish Bank Association. In 2017, the ZBP along with the Promyk Słońca Foundation awarded Prof. Henryk Skarżyński for outstanding achievements in the area of creating and using the latest technologies for the benefit of people with disabilities.
