Research projects
Prof. H. Skarżyński led and participated in more than a hundred Polish and international research projects – research grants or specific targeted projects. The most important are:
- Creation of the Professional Skills Center for hearing specialists (2023-2026)
- Adaptive screening and diagnostic system Hear Box (2021-2023)
- System for detecting taste and smell disorders based on a home self-test (2020-2022)
- Training of physicians in the Center of the Advanced Surgical Techniques of the World Hearing Center, Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing for ear surgery, rhinosurgery, phonosurgery, orbital surgery, jaw surgery and skullbase surgery (2018-2923)
- Hearing screening program for the first grade students of primary schools from the Mazovian Voivodeship in the years 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 (2017-2019)
- Promoter of the PRELUDIUM grant “Primary, Secondary and Associative Plasticity of the Auditory Cortex in People with Partial Deafness Using the Electro-acoustic Stimulation System” (coordinator: K. Cieśla, 2012-2016)
- Project under the STRATEGMED Programme entitled “Integrated System of Tools for Diagnostics and Telerehabilitation of Sensory Organs (hearing, sight, speech, balance, taste, smell)”, INNOSENSE STRATEGMED1/248664/7/NCBR/2014

- The initiator and executor of the project: Program for the development of Nationwide Network of Auditory Telerehabilitation Centers”, no. PL0384 within Norwegian Financing Mechanism (Norway Grants), Priority 5 – Healthcare and Child Care (2009-2011)
- The initiator and coordinator of actions within the scope of “Equalization of opportunities of children with communication disorders in the European countries” – the issue included into the Priority of Polish Presidency of the EU Council, in the field of Public Health (2011)
- The initiator and coordinator of the European Consensus Statement on Hearing Screening in Preschool and School-age Children – signed by the representatives of 27 countries associated in the European Federation of Audiology Societies (2011)
- The initiator and coordinator of the European Consensus Statement on Hearing, Vision and Speech Screening in Preschool and School-age Children – signed by the leaders of the European community of audiologists, phoniatricians, speech therapists and ophthalmologists (2011)
