The number of people diagnosed with tinnitus is growing worldwide, which is why research on this problem is gaining growing public, clinical, and scientific interest. We are noticing a significant demand for strategies and therapies preventing tinnitus and relieving it. In response to such expectations, the World Tinnitus Congress brings together experienced and promising scientists and clinicians to look at existing problems, discuss the latest solutions, and identify the challenges faced by the world of medicine and science. This year’s congress in Bishkek focused on novel therapy programs that could be used in regular clinical practice.
Traditionally, the International Tinnitus Seminar organizers honor persons especially distinguished in clinical work and scientific studies in the field of tinnitus. This year, the honor was awarded to Prof. Henryk Skarżyński, who received the Tonndorf Award during the Congress Opening Session in the presence of Edil Baisalov, Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan.
Sincere congratulations!
A memorandum on scientific cooperation was signed during the congress between the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing, MEDINCUS Hearing and Speech Center, and Kyrgyz State Medical Academy.
2nd World Tinnitus Congress and XIII International Tinnitus Seminar are two very special interdisciplinary meetings and an excellent opportunity for knowledge exchange.
