The 47th Meeting of the Polish Society of Otolaryngologists – Head and Neck Surgeons

The 47th Meeting of the Polish Society of Otolaryngologists – Head and Neck Surgeons took place on the 15-18th June 2016 in Szczecin – under the patronage of PTORL ChGiSz. The representative from the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing was prof. Henryk Skarżyński, who gave an invited lecture titled “Partial deafness treatment – Polish school in the world science”.

During the Meeting there were discussed topics related to modern diagnostics and achievements in the treatment of cancer of larynx and laryngopharynx. Another subject-matter was the reoperation in otolaryngology, recommendations for new surgeries, because the analysis of causes and evaluation of results are challenges even for experienced surgeons.

The discussions of Otolaryngologists – Head and Neck Surgeons with other specialists concerned also topics related to both laryngology and interdisciplinary procedures as well as the topics of upper respiratory infections and cancer.

The meeting, which comprised many discussion panels, lectures, workshops with the participation of experts, was an occasion to exchange experiences as well as to present own research results.
