On 28 October 2021, an official gala of the contest „Personalities and Successes of the Year 2021” was held in the theatre Scena Relax in Warsaw. The editor-in-chief of the magazine „Personalities and Successes” Mariusz Pujszo awards in 5 categories. Prof. Henryk Skar\u017cy\u0144ski was distinguished in the category „Personality of the Decade.” Distinction in this category was also awarded to: Andrzej Malinowski, Ph.D. in Economic Sciences, Prof. Miros\u0142aw Z\u0105bek, Andrzej Grabowski, Dr. Adam Struzik, Ewa Minge, Prof. Micha\u0142 Kleiber, Apoloniusz Tajner, Alicja W\u0119gorzewska, Ph.D, Karol Strasburger, Jaros\u0142aw Chroboci\u0144ski, Andrzej Supron, Izabela Trojanowska, Marcin Muszy\u0144ski, Pawe\u0142 Trochimiuk, Sobies\u0142aw Zasada, Urszula Dudziak, Rafa\u0142 Michalski, Micha\u0142 Milowicz and W\u0142adys\u0142aw Grochowski.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

As we can read in the laudation, the distinction was awarded to Prof. H. Skar\u017cy\u0144ski for performing\u00a0 Poland’s and Central and Eastern Europe’s first cochlear implantation operations on the deaf and the world’s first cochlear implantations on persons with partial deafness, among other things.<\/p>\n

The competition „Personalities and Successes” is an event during which the organizers recognize outstanding personalities and companies for their extraordinary work deserving the name „Success of the Year”.<\/p>\n

The „Personalities of the Decade” award was presented to Prof. Henryk Skar\u017cy\u0144ski at an extraordinary time.\u00a0 2021 is a celebration year for prof.\u00a0 Henryk Skar\u017cy\u0144ski and his team.\u00a0 It is the year of the 25th anniversary of the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing and the 30th anniversary of the commencement of the deafness treatment program.\u00a0 It is also worth reminding that five years ago, Prof. Henryk Skar\u017cy\u0144ski won the title Personality of the Year 2016.<\/p>\n

The evening was graced by performances by: \u015al\u0105sk Ensemble, Alicja W\u0119gorzewska and Micha\u0142 Milowicz.<\/p>\n
