Prof. Henryk Skar\u017cy\u0144ski, like in the previous year, has been ranked on the prestigious second position among the hundred most influential people in Polish medicine. In the new ranking of the most influential people in Polish healthcare he has been ranked as fourth. The Gala Ceremony took place in the Bristol Hotel in Warsaw on 26<sup>th<\/sup> November 2014.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Jury, consisting of the representatives of science, politics, healthcare and associations representing pharmaceutical and medical device producers, took into consideration candidates\u2019 achievements in the areas of treatment, introducing novel technologies and procedures to the medical practice, setting new directions of development of Polish medicine, as well as influence on development of the legal system, organization and functioning of the healthcare system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The high, second position occupied by Prof. Henryk Skar\u017cy\u0144ski reflects his contributions to the progress of medicine including the first in Poland and fourth in the world implantation of the<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 150px; height: 212px; float: right;\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/SKMBT_C35141127152100_0001.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/> CODACS device and first in Poland implantation of the trailblazing BONEBRIDGE \u2013 type hearing implant, constituting a milestone in the development of the program of treatment of various hearing dysfunctions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the first edition of ranking of the most influential people in Polish healthcare, the jury awarded Prof. Skar\u017cy\u0144ski\u2019s organizational achievements and outstanding contributions to the development of Polish healthcare, specifically organization, construction and opening of the World Hearing Center, as well as his \u2018Program of detection of hearing disorders in school-age children in Poland and worldwide\u2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The leading positions on the lists of hundred hold Prof. Marian Zembala \u2013 heart surgeon, as the most influential person on Polish medicine and Prof. Jacek Jassem \u2013 oncologis,t as the most influential person in Polish healthcare.<\/p>\n<table style=\"\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"1\" cellpadding=\"1\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 300px; height: 199px;\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/DSC_9510.JPG\" alt=\"\" \/><\/td>\n<td><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 300px; height: 199px;\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/DSC_9565.JPG\" alt=\"\" \/><\/td>\n<td><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 300px; height: 199px;\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/DSC_9562.JPG\" alt=\"\" \/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For the twelfth time, the \u2018Pulse of the Medicine\u2019 announced the list of hundred most influential people in Polish medicine, and for the first time the list of hundred most influential people in Polish healthcare.
