During the ceremony, the results of the \u201cPuls Medycyny\u201d contest for the outstanding innovator in Polish healthcare were announced. For the project named System of Integrated Communication Operations \u201eSZOK\u201d<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> the award was given to Prof. Henryk Skar\u017cy\u0144ski. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The System of Integrated Communication Operations \u201eSZOK\u201d<sup>\u00ae <\/sup>is the highly advanced IT system supporting the diagnostics of a patient from a distance and assuring the transfer of tests\u2019 results to healthcare sector. The System integrates used in the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing information systems and introduces new possibilities \u2013 it enables to perform audiology screening programs on countrywide and European scale, supports scientific research in collecting, storing, popularizing and managing of screening tests\u2019 results.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This award in not the first one received by Prof. Henryk Skar\u017cy\u0144ski in the Golden Scalpel contest. In the year 2010, Prof. Skar\u017cy\u0144ski was awarded for the program of partial deafness treatment in children and adults with the application of cochlear implants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Golden Scalpel is the contest for an outstanding innovator in Polish healthcare, organized by biweekly magazine \u201cPuls Medycyny\u201d from 2009. This year, the projects were evaluated by the jury made-up of:\u00a0 Prof. Leszek Czupryniak, Prof. Andrzej Horban, Prof. Piotr Kuna, Prof. Grzegorz Opolski, Prof. Boles\u0142aw Rutkowski, Prof. Piotr Wysocki and Jerzy Toczyski, vice-president of the Employers\u2019 Union of Innovative Pharmaceutical Companies INFARMA.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 26th June 2013, the Golden Scalpel 2013 Gala took place in the University Library in Warsaw.
