On 22-23 September 2016 in Bishkek (Kirgizstan) took place the VII Congress of Pediatricians of the Commonwealth of Independent States titled \u2018The child and the society: problems of health, development and nutrition\u2019 and the International Scientific Conference dedicated to 55th<\/sup> anniversary of the National Center of Mother and Child established by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kirgizstan.<\/h3>\n

Prof. Henryk Skar\u017cy\u0144ski, representing with a team the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing, had been invited to chair the session dedicated to problems of deafness and hearing loss in children. In the session participated also the representatives of the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing presenting following lectures: Assoc. Prof. Piotr H. Skar\u017cy\u0144ski \u201eModern possibilities of treatment of hearing disorders\u201d, Dr. Roman Barylyak \u201ePossibilities of surgical treatment of the otitis media with effusion\u201d, Dr. Adam Walkowiak \u201eRemote fitting of cochlear implants\u201d, Agnieszka Pankowska \u201eRehabilitation of patients after cochlear implantation\u201d.<\/p>\n

During the Congress Prof. Henryk Skar\u017cy\u0144ski had been awarded with a title of the Honorary Professor of the National Center of Mother and Child in Bishkek in recognition of his merits and willingness to share knowledge and experience with doctors in Kirgizstan. The title had been bestowed by the director of the Center, Uzakbaev Kamchibek Askarbekovich and the Scientific Council of the Center. Moreover, Prof. Henryk Skar\u017cy\u0144ski and Assoc. Prof. Piotr Skar\u017cy\u0144ski had received the commemorative gold medals minted of the occasion of the 55th Anniversary of the National Institute of Mother and Child in Bishkek. It is worth mentioning that Prof. Skar\u017cy\u0144ski and his team have been since several years involved in the activities related to promoting health and treatment in Asia, Africa and central Europe. Kirgizstan is a good example of such country benefiting from the development of different forms of telemedicine.<\/p>\n
