On 12\u00a0and 13\u00a0March 2018, in Torun, in the Cultural and Congress Center Jordanki took place the 25th, jubilee edition of the economic congress \u201eWelconomy Forum\u201d. During the Gala, which took place on 12\u00a0March, 7\u00a0persons have received special distinctions, including Prof.\u00a0Henryk Skar\u017cy\u0144ski. The awards received also: Minister Artur Balazs, Minister Krzysztof Tch\u00f3rzewski, Deputy Prime Minister Janusz Tomaszewski, prof.\u00a0Jerzy Buzek, red. Andrzej Jonas and chairman Walerian Szu\u0142czy\u0144ski.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The title \u201eWelconomy Ambassador\u201d is awarded for extraordinary achievements, integration skills and cooperation in various areas of life, it is awarded to\u00a0people contributing to\u00a0the improvement of Poland\u2019s economic status. It is also granted to\u00a0people who for many years support the organization of the Economic Forum and jointly realize the mission of the \u201eWelconomy Forum\u201d \u2013 integration and cooperation.<\/p>\n

In the previous quarter-century the award \u201cWelconomy Ambassador\u201d has been awarded to\u00a0Prof.\u00a0Bronis\u0142aw Geremek, Prof.\u00a0Zbigniew Religa, Prof.\u00a0Stefan Meller, Prime Minister J\u00f3zef Oleksy and others.<\/p>\n

This year, the \u201eWelconomy Forum\u201d was a\u00a0meeting of more than 2000\u00a0representatives of business, science, politics, self-government and media. The dominant topic of discussion was the economic condition of Poland compared to\u00a0the European Union and the world. Discussion panels, meeting and lectures addressed also the prospects of development for our country.<\/p>\n

The Forum is addressed to\u00a0all persons and companies interested in economic cooperation with Poland, or purchasing Polish goods and services. However, more and more attention is given to\u00a0Polish science. The \u201eWelconomy Forum\u201d creates the opportunity of making new contacts that in future may results in signing new trade contracts and agreements of scientific collaboration.<\/p>\n
