The fairs have served as a unique networking platform for years. Their purpose is to promote innovative products, technologies and services from various industries and fields. It is an opportunity to showcase the potential and achievements of technology and science.
“For the high-ranking awards obtained in connection with the presentation and promotion of inventions in 2022 at the international invention fairs,” the Ministry of the Economy wrote in justification of the awards to the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing. Two of the Institute’s inventions were recognized: The Sensory Examination Capsule and the Skarżyński’s Polymodal Sensory Perception Stimulator.
Sensory Examination Capsule (KBZ).
This is an innovative and unique in the world, a multifunctional device enabling diagnostics of the most important senses in one place, whose author is Professor Henryk Skarżyński.
It allows independent screening of the sensory organs (hearing, vision, balance, smell, taste) and the speech organ. It also allows population-based screening tests in different age and occupational groups.
The capsule was created due to the project “Integrated system of tools for diagnosis and telerehabilitation of disorders of the sensory organs (hearing, vision, speech, balance, smell, taste), acronym INNOSENSE”.

Polymodal Sensory Perception Stimulator with Skarżyński Method (SPPS-S).
This innovative device for conducting therapy uses Skarżyński’s method, which includes the senses of hearing, sight and touch, enabling impact in many groups of sensory-based disorders.
It is small, handy and, therefore convenient to use. It does not require interaction with other, often large and expensive devices, most often located in specially equipped rooms. These features of the SPPS-S translate into a significant reduction in the cost of use and greater accessibility of training.
